It's the wrist being a right angle combined with elbow that far back- It looks unnatural.
Perhaps it's not technically pillow shading but the legs and blouse are shaded following the same line dark -> light, sorry if I wasn't clear :)
It suffers still from pillow shading? The skirt maybe, but other things as well? Please point them out. I tried that position actually, I suppose I'll extend the arm out slightly. I could also make those support lines less jagged. I'll fix the face, thanks again for helping me on my road to perfection! :)
Alot of it (Skirt especially) suffers from pillow shading and the umbrella seems to be rather unfinished, perhaps you could aa the red supporty bits, they suffer the most from jagginess.
Her right arm's position is painful, if not impossible, try it yourself!
Also, just a couple of stylistic things: some kind of defintion between top and bottom lips'd be good, and the black being solely on the eyes makes them stand out (Not in a good way, either :P)
Your lines themselves are pretty good (Minus that arm), It's not very often that you see a pretty colwn ;)
i agree with jeremy, the wrist looks unnatural. plus, i think the parasol could use some darker contrast on the underside to give it more depth. despite those imperfections, the character is well done and refreshing to see. you don't see very many clowns on here.
