You don't know me, but I used same colors as in your tree.  

Reminds me remotely of a tree I made, maybe I know you? 

I'd try to find a definate light source first, that can help a lot, right now the highlighs are just spread all over, especially in the trunk.

And try to keep in mind the texture of the object, for example the trunk could have more vertical highlights and shadows and the leaves could have more chunky shapes.
