I wouldn't say the shading is great, you're using quite a lot of pillowshading there.

Great shading for ur first pixelart, ur much better than me.

Although that drawing is pretty bad and doesn't really look like aang, and his hands are too small, his legs are weird, his face is too round -it doesn't have an anime feel- and looks a lot like a lot of other people. The blue is a bit too bright. And the way he's holding that stick is just too unnatural. The background could be transparent as there's no reason for it.
