Screw the extra detail, the simplicity of it all gives it a very smooth and fresh look! I love it. It's peaceful yet ominous at the same time.
love it ^^
I still prefer the original pallet but this is still an excellent piece
Its good, but it reminds me a lot of the Aida Concept album cover:
I like it, I like it a lot, but I think you could have done a little more with it. Especially the trees.
Wow, it feels so peaceful... and yet scary?
Thats really an impressive one. The light effect is great. And I agree that some more detail to the trees an the grass (on the front) would make it even more kicking.
the contrast between brightness of the sun and the darkness of the forest is so extreme ! the flash of light is hypnotic. i like that.
maybe the "hypnose effect" wasn't intentional, anyway, it's superb ! Bravo !
and that's how it's done. This really stands out as a peice of art it is so well done. KUTGW.
thanks for the comments.
maybe I will come back later on thise piece and test some more detailed trees here.
nice fav/comment-ratio btw :D
Honestly I think everything is superb besides the flatness of the trees. The lighting in this piece exceeds the expectations I would even expect from Lawrence, and if the flatness of the trees could be corrected without losing the mystic nature of the piece I would undoubteldly hang this on my wall.
Hmmm, I second that. Some subtle polish for the trees, just like the coulds have would make a lot of sense. The grass could probably slide, it does have some texture due to the dither style used.
Very nice, but I'd like to see more texture for the grass and bark. I really like the effects on the sides though, but that clashes with the grass in the centre.
