I really like the mix of normal sized pixels and bigger ones, it looks really cool, and makes the people stand out.
I know Mira (the tall one) for like 12 years
We have un-finished so many projects together :)
And Mira works with Eda (the VanHelsing one) for maybe 10 years now
It was always kindof a custom to pic some of our friends and put them into some kind of a fictional story
Our infamous "Veverka hunter" game was created like this.
They look like they have great chemisty, and work well together. :D
They've probably been partners for years.<.<
Hey man I'm glad to see some new work from you here !
like always I'm fan of your works and this character look at very nice with good contrast and colours :) I'm just afraid for volume of the legs from the left personage. Yep they are in shady place, but maybe need a bit more work.
I hope to see you often here :P
I'll check. I think the chest might have a wrong shape instead.
That's quite a 2 year gap since your last pixel post;)
It's quite different from your other work and I do like the background. The character on the left - the shoulder of the arm that is holding the handle of the gun; the angle seems a little awkward (maybe the shoulder needs to be raised and the elbow not so straight?)
Hope your friends don't see too many ghosts in their new home!
@jalonso: Updated ;)
@All: For the backgroud: I might share one thing here I found and am using.
It happens to me a lot - especialy with large images - that I get stuck. Mostly with background.
I either just cant get it right, or have no idea what to put there etc. And I get just anoyed fast in this cases with trying and trying.
I found out its because of the large size of image. You know how anoying it is to redraw large parts - even in draft stage.
I found a solution.
What I do is scale the whole image down to some tiny res. Like 1/4. Then suddenly I have a little space and its so fast to experiment in it. And suddenly Im not affraid to create 3 versions and its a joy again.
I can even scale it up 4x while wip to see how it will look large.
Once I get to something I like, I scaleit back to original large size and use it as solid draft for final res\quality.
I used this approach with this piece, then for lack of time and also because I wanted to try how it will look, I left it in the draft lo-res.
(sorry for the longish text. I find it hard to explain myself in english as usual :)
I really like the mixed resolutions here. Works great. Only crit would be that I think the characters should have a bit more contrast, to fit the scene suggested by the background better. Otherwise its great :)
I hate to be negative since I love your work but Welcome is mispelled
cool design and intriguing text, make me want to see the apartment hahaha
