Yes, I'd say that it is rude. I'm not saying I'm offended or care in the least, only that it's rude.
Actually, a mod specifically recommended that Stitchy use a 2x image. Using any resolution above 1x is typically unnecessary, but allowed. As such, images like stichy's are the exception rather than the rule, and unless you specifically note that the image is not meant to be viewed at 1x, then I have no reason to treat it as an exception.

p.s. I've let it into the gallery, it looks much better at 1x, you have some stray pixels, it's pretty good for your first work, it could use some AA, and dreadfully sorry for the loss of your cat. calm responses will get you much further in the future, unncecessary rudeness will not.

god forbid i follow protocol to help a piece get into the gallery, as it has been sitting here a while and I assumed that was what prevented other mods from letting it through. My comment wasn't rude (note the "please"), but i get a rude response. Sorry I didn't go out of my way to grant my condolences.
