I like the avatar in the preview image. I thnk the sprites in the detail image, while unrelated, are nice, too - they'll probably be pretty awesome when you finish them,

Yeah just use the preview pic as the detail pic since this is apparently only your avatar. Submit the detail pic you have here now as it's own piece, it will get more attention that way, too.

I don't understand the correlation between the preview and fullview pictures. Also, remove the black background please.
