Ive allways loved the angular sweeping lines in playing cards, so I really wanted to portray that here. It might be the obvious route, but I enjoyed it. (I used a card I had as a referance, if you cant allready tell!)

Another great entry, this one. What I love about it is it's uniqueness (as far as the competition entries go, it's not so unique for the cards). The pixel work is solid and very likeable, particularly the face and hair. The best part though was using this approach allowed you to get in all of that delicious detail that is missing in so many other entries. Good choice!

Im glad someone decided go this route. I thought about doing something similar, but I dont ever finish anything so I opted out of trying to enter this challenge. I think you did it well, and I like his little feets. Good luck.

oww. i love the colors you chose! the hat looks as if it was made at the end... i don't know. for me it doesn't suit the picture. everything is made so well..
