The hand doesn't exactly read.. I see it when I zoom in, but not so much when I zoom out. :/
The emerald is very glossy/shiny, yes, but with it's odd, uneven shape it looks more like a very shiny, very viscuos liquid blob.
At first glance it's difficult to actually make out the hand. Adding more defined shading for each finger would help. The emerald and wood however are perfecto. Nice job.
yeah its a bit confusing, it realy seems to be some sort of jelly melting from a rock...
