Thanks for all of your kind comments :) Here are some replies:
This looked too simple on my eyes too, and I tried all kind of things to spice it up a bit. I wanted to add some cracks and holes on the wall to make it a bit dirtier and cyberpunk-y, but they looked ugly and ruined my beatiful shiny blocks :D I also tried to put some electric wiring and computer hardware on the wall, but it looked horrible. I also thougt on adding some adventure game action icons on top or bottom part and maybe magnifying glass cursor and some text, but I really didn't like anything I tried.
At some point I came to conclusion that this is supposed to be minimalistic and a bit plain decided that this is now ready.
The reason that the character is so still is that as the player is not doing anything so neither is the character.
The reason for the character being so boring is that I'm not very good at character design, and I'm actually very happy that I managed to make something that resembles a humang being :) And I think that plain and simple character goes quite well with plain and simple background.
Ohh nice backgrounds, though i dont like the character that much.
A tip from a gamer's eye view: I would probably want a character that's somewhat weird/fun and maybe not human-like :D
I felt the same way as Jal, I thought this was just ok when I first looked at it, but it really started to grow on me. The more I look at this the more I like it. Great job ;D
When I first saw this it seemed far too simple but it has really grown on me and the more I see it the more I like it. +2dots
She might be waiting for the elevator to open or something xD
looks good but looks too still. Is she just standing there? -.-
Would make excelant game art ^_^
