looks like a lot of work. I´m irritated on the question, where the main light source is located. To give the fish more more depth you could enhance the palette with shades of darker green and sand.
Hehe yes, i used mixed styles of shading for various parts, normal shading for the sliminess, dithering for the various marks on the body and dithering for lighting on an already dithered part of the fish.

This is a very nice piece, it obviously took you a long time to make.
There is one thing I can suggest, as far as my expertise go. The line looks jagged around him in some parts, the other thing is that the lighter yellow in his fins is not defined enough. I think you need to use a darker shade of the second yellow for the fins.
The other thing I noticed is that you dithered in some areas, and just put sploches of a lighter shade in others. Perhaps you should use dithering in all of it? Unless this is the effect you are looking for.
In any case, it's a beautiful piece and a very nice concept too, I hope you work on it some more. :)
