Her hair and sword could use a contrast bump. Right now they're pretty similar shades to the background.
Nah, Cervante's head isn't messin my main man...He's doin' that evil super hero pose. You know, the one where a character looks as if too much energy is flowing through him. In other words, Cervante's is just puffing his chest leaning backwards. That's why you can't see his head.
As for monkey man of the purple, thanks for the compliment, and I"m checking out the photobucket majigger as we speak..thanks again...
Very well educated guess leel. She was pasted on separately. I drew her before I drew the background to see if I could connect the dots, if you will. I was trying to see if I could make a connection between the two within a short time. It was hard(I finished it all today before I went to work). I think she just doesn't belong because the majority of the background is green, and she is completely different looking pale and purple(But that is her true outfit and skin tone in the 3D game Soul Calibur)
As for skin, there are 5, yes 5, skin colors. Just zoom in twice and you will see the extra colors on her inside thigh(ooh, sounds delicious...) But overall, I do see where you are coming from, and I respect your opinion.
As for frost, Cervantes is my fave in SC 1 and 2. That's why I put him in the background. Thanks for the comments.
Well, looks like you took a lot of time to shade and dither the background (which looks great) but the girl is shaded.. differently. It kind of grabs the attention that her legs only have 2 shades (I know it's 3 when I zoom in, but it looks like 2 at 100%) .. I don't know how to explain it.. it looks like you pasted the girl onto the background, she's not really a part of the scene.
Don't know who she is, maybe you're trying to mimic the original shading, but it would look much better if she had more colors, at least on her thighs
This is a really nice piece and very good choice of colour pallette.
