I belive that this will not be accepter to the gallery 'cos it have many elements that is not hand pixeled and it's >8 bit
i'm not so much into atari falcon highres stuff, but with 1468(!) colors, smudged brushes and that transparent stuff in the back this hardly counts as pixel-art for me.
have to admit that this has probably been quite impressive in 1994, but i don't think pixeljoint is the right place for that kind of pieces.
also, i guess not only the face was referenced, right?
I mostly use Deluxe Paint on amiga and grafx2 for on my windows and linux boxes. I also use Personal Paint on Amiga for some palette functions.
