Hum... good tips but i dont understand the 5 shades of brown... what does it means?
(sorry for english... i speak french!)
You should probably clean up the border a bit. It looks like you have about 5 shades of the brown, but only 2 are really used. Why not smooth it out with those or remove all but the 2 currently being used? It seems sort of odd to use a color in only 1 pixel. I like the facial expression, though.
