@RoboBOT: the photo was chosen by my girlfriend for the high light contrast in it. Must admit I also like the pose, but for no apparent reason.
I'm really digging all your illustrative stuff. The dithering is perfect.
I really like the style of the piece. The was you make the dithering work smoothly on the skin is nice. My only complaint is the ear doesn't seem quite right, I'd reexamine that. Nicely done, though, on the rest of it.
I'm wondering, why such effort to reproduce a picture with such a random, odd pose? :P
its awesome, really great color usage. The hand kinda bugs me thou, the fingers have this sausage shape and look kind of flacid.... other than that, really cool job. lovely dithering too!
Not gonna lie, thought you were a girl until I saw the ref pic.
I find the fingers spoil the piece; otherwise the multi-pattern dither is very classy.
That's probably because in the photo I was holding a spoon °_° Anyway I really appreciate your comment. :) Thank you guys.
Edit: Reread your comment! XD
Hehe, at first I thought you were holding a pencil (on the reference picture)
This is great! I especially like the way you turn a real picture into something more cartoon-like.
Awesome. Really like it, looks a lot like you. The nose it a bit different, but its not too noticeable.
I think this is a great example of when photo-referenced work is allowed to take on it's own spirit.
Thank you peachy, I'm not completely satisfied with it too.
wow nice one, totally love it: the shading and dithering on the face is gorgeous.
apart from that I must say the contrast on the hand is too hard making the fingers seems separated from the rest. IMHO.
interesting style.
