The original took me 10 hours, and this was about 20 more hours of off and on work for the past week. Mostly shading and details, some can barely be seen. Added the candle and an old fashioned book binding and a little color to the table cloth.
The shading and details aren't the best, but I am still working on learning alot of techniques...

for something like this which doesn't appear to be part of a game or a platform you might want to try perspective drawing instead of isometrics. I find perspective drawings stand better on their own as pieces of art, whereas isometrics are great for integration into larger pieces of art, if you see what I mean.
anyways, of the detail I can see I rather like it :)
oh, very much nicer! you have done a very nice job on redoing it, the table cloth doesnt lookas thick anymore and the book has a very nice texture, great job ^^
