i dont really know why you replied to me, when i said (translated from spanish to english) "you have my vote, as always ;) you should solve the problem with colors. It would be a shame that something as good as this would be disqualified just because of one simple color -.-". Well, kind of a rough transation, but you get the point. I know limitations are important, even in this kind of contests, so i was encouraging him to change it . I think i got misundestood?

Well sorry, o.O sometimes color limitations are very important, when you work as pixelartist it's important to follow these, you can't handin a 17 colors image for a mobile device that only supports 16, you simply wont get paid

 I like the colors, esp the purplish shadows... and the texture on the wood panels is good too

sometimes a exception can be done, just lets not be an ass about it. for such a small detail, rules can be somehow flexible. even i had the same problem inthe past and god i knowits p awful to not notice that little mistake.

in another context, where the user rather modifies the whole image or submits an unfinished entry just to met the deadline, said rules should be applied.

My point was that it was fixed after the deadline which is normaly forbidden.

As much as I'd prefer not to defend pixelarg, I don't think this is a big deal, especially if it has since been taken care of.

I will say that of the two artists, Elk is the one who has shown himself to be much more honest, and you'd have to be both dumb and tactless to raise hell about this piece for the assumed motives that you've assigned Elk.

tl;dr not that big of a deal; elk was not required to be nice

i know it is wrong dammit! what i said was that it was something so minimal that it would be so nice to just tell him to fix it (im talking about elk not about the omgsopowerfulguywhodecideswhoentersandwhogetsdisqualified) instead of just coming saying to disqualify him, becouse he is also participating and i think is one of the few pieces that could challenge his, i think that looks so bad, thats all, dammit

and check it, it is under 16 colours, since yesterday, those extra colors where there for no more than 5 minutes probably, actually when i saw it i checked it and i saw 16, im sure if you checked you saw 16 too right?

rules are rules, if everyone tried hard to get their palettes down to 16, it would be quite unfair for one to have more.

the point is that im pixelartist too, and is not hard to see that in this particular case 1 colour would not matter at all, many of the colors look almost the same :/

i mean even if it was out of the rules it was something so minimal that you could have just being nice and tell the guy that he made a mistake instead of directly come here saying "this is a disqualification" is not like he used 20 colors or he used filters or whatever you like

I have my own opinion about this picture

I'm pixelartist, I have an eye for colorcounting, so if I think that an entry has too many colors, I check them

And if it says 16 colors then the entry shouldn't have more than this because 1 color can be very deciding for the entire piece.

btw its so omg you checked every pallete from every entry? just asking...

and you want to have disqualified one of the best entries :/ you want to win so badly? xD

i know is a mistake... but darn is just 1 colour and instead of for example telling the guy about his mistake you just want him disqualified xD you' re so strict!
