Well, in this case it was required as part of the collaboration I joined, we were only allowed to use those colors. However, many artists just like to challenge themselves, and try new things, and/or they simply enjoy these colors.

The preview is just the bottom part of the real tile cut-out, but are you suggesting that you'd probably find the entire tile more interesting using only the grayscale colors? I might try that.
I think the preview greyscale colors are way better then the colored piece. Nice work on the tree and clouds.
