My god I love this. Probably my favorite pixel I've seen this year so far 0___o
I mostly asked because I'm no expert on composition at all. I tried to use imaginary lines to draw focus from the gunslinger to the robe-wearing skull thing, and frame the tower in the distance. I think the big problem is that the gunslinger character just isn't dynamic. If I were to do it again I'd entirely redraw the character, probable a bit closer and standing at more of an angle. Unfortunately, by the time I thought to do so, I was pretty much done. It was just do drastic a change for me to attempt.
I dunno exactly. It just has a colorforms feel to it; like the various elements were pasted onto a preexisting background, you know? They just kind of feel strewn about. To me. Don't mean to sound snotty or anything, I really do like the piece. It's just something that struck me. And sorry for the useless critique. I know it's not helpful when someone says "yeah, I don't like this or that, but I have no clue how you'd go about fixing it. good luck!" :/
EDIT: Just noticed a couple of frames in the WIP anim where the right side of the sky is done and the left side of the sky is more or less blank. I think that actually looked a lot better; it sort of pulled the eye towards the character.
Very well pixelled, nice dithering, smooth and all. The composition really disappoints, though.
This'll get a place in my favorites. I love the stye and smoothness of this piece!
Haven't heard any Free, though I should probably check it out. Paul Rodgers is a great singer.
It's an awesome band, to be fair. Have you heard any "Free?"
For an extra reference, you could have made his gun a "smoking 45!"

this'll soon get into the weekly showcase :P. I think that either his arms are kinda long or his legs are short, but something concerning anatomy bugs me. Nice character desgin though, and great atmosphere you created
