Dictionary.com defines it as a gleam of reflected light in the object of a photograph, esp. in a person's eye. Although it does look like you've added one in - possibly make it more noticeable/brighter?

I think the yellow in the feline eye should be textured more like the green part in the human eye. And possibly have the dark slit-part of the feline eye be smaller? Kind of like this maybe? http://photos1.blogger.com/img/101/1197/1024/cat_eyes.jpg

 I like the human eye, it's nice. The cat's eye isn't as good though. it doestn' look that much like an eye.

Have you thought about puting in a catchlight?
