I should edit the description fully, it's inspired by The Geometric Expression by Claredeth, not 8bitty's Hulk. That's still cool however.

It's not inspired by anything ptoing did, but Claredeth's animated face! The body isn't inspired by anything though haha.
However I am a big fan of ptoing :P I realized now that I did get the idea of shading the ground from ptoing's Skelefunk.
Perhaps the image you were thinking of was something by ptoing? Maybe his MSX Robots or The Pink Primate?
Goog job anyway and I too thought it was supposed to be Batman from the preview.
