@Manupix Thank you :) I agree that the shading is for the wrong time of day.  If I get time I might try redo it but it'll take time as I'm not very good at changing colours into colors and making it still look natrual (if that makes sense xD ). Or alternatively I might just redo the background to something which matches the shading.

The tree top had to be off centre or the tree at the bottom would have to be off, and I had to chose one :(

Oh yes, the bg does add a lot to this: atmosphere!

And, the snowman is lit by the house it's in front, no problem there. Or one problem in fact: the blue shading, this doesn't work, it's a daylight shading. Make it dark grey? darker blue?

A little detail too: it's a pity the trees symmetry is broken at the top.
