Heh, required? If you want, then go for it. There's definitely room for improvement and you'd probably learn a lot. But sometimes you gotta just close the book on a piece and move on, ya know?
Meaning an entire redo of the body is more than likely required? If that's the case, I'm making a WIP topic.
The neck is very long. I think that's what Jim16 was referring to. Anyway, the problem with the body as I see it is that the pose is very un-dynamic.
You've also kind of got a cognitive dissonance thing going on with the cartoony, exaggerated face (which is great btw) and the rather plain body.
8 colours - the black, the 4 shades of green, the 2 shades of brown.
What about the pose is freaky though?
TBH there are a few issues that need addressing, and usely are soleved with more practice. So to me it is "ok", thats not saying I'm better than you, but that like the man below I too can spot a few flaws as you probably can to.
Anyway its not the most polite way of making a comment, so maybe a bit more from me.
1-I think you have allot of anatomy problems. Mostly in the neck, arms, and legs.
2-Colour issues, although your colour choices are good, I still fail to see where you used all 8 colours.
and lastly the pose and neck freaks me out!
And why exactly is it "just okay" or is this going to be another one of those useless comments that server no purporse and are done by the people who's work is sub-par? I'm not saying mines not, but you're hardly a Leonardo Da Vinci of Pixel art yourself now are you? If you think it's just okay, then maybe you could tell me something that would make it great instead of simply saying the equivalent of "Meh."
Thanks, I was originally just gonna do the face, but well boredom hit me hard that day.
Because my image in my head of him is somewhat, that of a frog.
I question why he is green, but it is however a good piece of pixel art in my opinion. Great expression, btw!
Well I meant to make the piece look good, there is no way I can see of making that pose look good without completely doing it. Meh. I'm gonna post it on the forums.
