lol, wrong challenge Sticky Tape. This was for the multi-purpose portrait challenge the week before.

...News on this character. I've made a bunch of different hairstyles and interchangable facial hair etc for some sort of 'customization' thing.

I'm wondering if anyone thinks I should just update this one with an animation to show the different styles or make that a separate submission all together?

That's a really neat style, his anatomy looks cool.

Really like it!  Though, this would not have been accepted for the challenge in the first place, as there are non-tall pixel areas and transparency.  Glad you didn't rush the finish to make the submission just to have it rejected cus this turned out nice.

I totally and completely disagree with almost every comment in here. I think the face is perfect as-is! Combined with the pose and SD-ness of the body, it makes him look like a zomb3h. :D

Thanks for the crits, but I'm sticking with the face. Keep in mind that this is a neutral pose and he's not showing any emotion. I wanted him to look like a souless golem worker drone, (the perfectly expendable kind), hence the name, and I didn't want to overload the character with details.

Nothing is set in stone, but I think I'm happy with the design for now.

This is very cool. I would have voted for this. And I like the 'bland' face too, but I think that it has too little shading. The shadows on his body are much darker and bigger than those in his head.

And I think this he should have ears.

Totally agree with some below. I understand the comic relief in the face, but still, it just doesn't fit the awesome body.

I'll just reiterate alot of what has allready been said. The face really gets me. The rest is so detailed/awsome and the head just looks bland by comparison.

Great character design! The huge zipper on his shorts is the best. I personally like the simple face, and I love the shade of green you chose for the shorts, it works very nicely. One thing I don't like is the dark shade surrounding the eyes, it looks a bit strange, but I can't really explain why.

Good job, anyways. Too bad about the lateness :(

thanks! I almost went with a halfsize version of him, becuase i thought at first I wouldn't be comfortable with a pixel this size, but I ended up liking it a lot. I might post the half size in a bit, needs some polishing.

The Zipper is my favorite! I kind of like how the face is different too, looking forward to seeing more.

In my opinion it's a shame the face is so bland, as the rest of the body has some nice intricate features and the face with it's eyes and bareness doesnt fit in at all. The hair looks good though!
