Weekly Challenge: What Happens on the Moon
It sure can improve, but it's a good idea and a good start. The pajamas are hilarious!

Technically speaking, you should start by checking your outlines, they're jaggy, and don't need to be all black.

It doesn't suck! It's a bit rough and your shading is a tad off, yes. But it's nothing you can't get help with (on this or future pieces) over at the WIP forum. It's very good that you're graduating from sprite edits :D
don't really like how you just scribbled in the detail on the moon ;V
the three other characters are also shaded flatly, they could use some volume; the lightsource is also undefined
the guys pose is kinda awkward too, but I agree with Hatch- put this in the wip forum
