Exploding sun? star? random fireball? Who knows, but it looks pretty nifty :) Took a good.. eh 2 hours. First submission on here, tried before but was too lazy to figure it out. So yea there ya go.

Cool idea...just needs a litttle cleaning up - imo the exploding object doesn't effectively match the style of the rest of the image - a little too "sketchy"...otherwise - welcome and glad you're submitting here and hope to see more :)

I think the stars could be only dots, not crosses and the astronaut could be more detailed. :)

But it's a great first piece! :)
