You should put "Cryptopixel" or "Pixel Puzzle" or something in the preview if you submit more of these. I almost didn't click it.
No... the name's longer than 5 letters... but the fact that you asked that means that you're thinking the right way, Dr. D.
Incidentally, Hatch has now solved the puzzle. It's not impossible, guys! :)
I'm stuck here... tried to look at the "blues" rgb and hsl values. Assuming that this piece has 2 shades of blue, right? That's as far as I got...
You read it at first sight? Or once you reach the point, you have to sarch for the name.
Hatch is right that the palette itself is relevant in some way. You don't necessarily need Photoshop, just something that can give you the color values (in both decimal and hex, since I don't want to tell you which one to use). The caption of the image ("Singin' the blues from day 'till night") is a clue.
So is the message just "Singin' the blues from days 'till night?"
Aha! The ultimate in steganography! A message so obvious no one even realizes it's encoded!
Nuts. PM me your method--not your answer--pleeeez.
EDIT: And yes, I realize the method will probably make the answer obvious, but I'd like to maintain the illusion that I figured it out myself, thankyouverymuch.
Ha, I think I found it. If I'm correct then Hatch you're thinking to hard.
I suspect it may be encoded in the numerical values of the colors (RGB or hex or something), but I haven't figured it out yet. Checked the indexed palette; no extra colors that could be hiding text. Tried superimposing a 50% trans copy of the original and moving/flipping/rotating it to see if any of the stars started to form letters. No luck so far.
Is Photoshop strictly necessary or can it be most any image editor?
crap, I don't get it! I really wanna know! Please PM me the answer or an advice to find it!
