Good and funny idea, but...
The squarish body look should also be present in the head/mask, at least slightly.
The mask is not obvious at all, I wouldn't have noticed it but for your description.
The dragon lizard is either too much or not enough. It has no ralationship to the squarish style either.

Though I think you should check the lights and shadows - it seems the light on his head doesn't correspond with the rest.
