This is absolutely breath-taking. Thank you for making this contribution...made my day!
Wow. You managed to convey the expression fantastically, despite the constraints faced by many artists, using pixels as a medium.. Very nice work.
Oh my! How beautiful! B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!
I love your colour choice, too. Great..... And the skintone feels so unnattural, alone, yet it fits this piece perfectly! Someday I will be able to do such colour choices, i hope....
Thank you for your comment. The bird legs' palette and shape is not good, but that was the thing I was redrawng about 5 times.. no better ideas)
Great stuff!
Totally agree with Hatch about the bg. Esp that cloud is really messing the bird's shape.
Also, some details of the bird might be improved. Ravens don't have curved beaks; the legs might be too far apart. Maybe something with the wings too, but I can't point what.
I love Poe, haven't read for a long time but it's a good idea to look there for PA ideas!
OMG you are amazing :) i remember the raven poem or something like that.. hated it x[ hated my literature class
In my 8th grade history class, we did a family tree project, I may (or may not) be related to him. Never really found out for sure. haha
"And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain..." )))
Only issue I have is how noisy the BG/sky is. Really distracts from the foreground, in my opinion. Lovely portrait with great emotion though.
It was no story, but a poem called 'The Raven'.) It is the view from "another side".
He he, i like too E.A Poe. But i don't remember from which stories this pic is inspired... :s
This is great, I think you are among my favorite artists on here.
No, it is not) I used a couple of references for the raven and a mirror for the girl.
