This is a piece done using CGA palette #1 high intensity mode with black as the background color. This was pixelled using the homebrew NIntendo DS application "UA Paint", and has served to be great fun to make as a result.
Why I chose the CGA palette: I don't remember, I think I may have gotten the idea from viewing someone's avatar, but I decided surely on it because it uses probably the two most unrealistic colors possible, bright purple and some sort of neon glowing turquoise that I'm fairly certain not even the sky looks like.
Plus, it has that 80's vibe to it, like, 80's pop art on a video cassette box that got left out and the color got washed out over time so now it looks weird. |
This is really nice use of cyan and magenta. I think it looks really awesome at 100 percent-
must be the use of black next to magenta.
