thats because it has to be your own original game, so the further away from it, the better.
hm... now that i now what its about..( monty pythons holy grail 
..)... i think you could have done a lot more to capture that scene ... like a bridge?!!!?.... a cliff.... fog???.....also the bridge keeper doesnt look like the original at awl!

This could do with more detail and expression, maybe play with the monochrome palette (reds, greens, blues, etc.)
