Like pretty much everyone else I dont like the dithering but great piece overall! I like the colors you chose for your palette
great tech. But geometry of rear wheel is... strange =)
The piece itself is cool, but dithering sucks. It doesn't make it look smooth, it makes it look bad. There's a great tutorial on dithering over at pixelation, check it out.
It makes the texture a bit too soft, though. You can do smooth without soft.
Hey guys, if you really worry about dithering, please deviate from the monitor and squint ;)
I just want to do it as smooth as possible.
Anyway thanks for watching.
I agree with Dex and it was the first thing I notices; dithering. I love the overall piece, but the dithering just makes it more ugly. But you did a great job!
While your colour choices and knowledge of form seems fairly competent, I think you sacrificed what could have been a smooth, attractive car by over-dithering it. With there being dithering almost everywhere, it seems as if the whole piece looks fairly grainy. I think using something other than a regular dither would help this piece very much.
That aside, I like the concept and the background.
Yep, could do without dithering on this one, I'm not really against dithering on everything like how I've noticed some people are, but this really doesn't need it, The step in the WIP three frames before the car is done is when it looks best IMO.
