Good work. This makes me think of Tomba. Anyone ever play it?
This piece looks really good, and I love the dithering
Yeah that's what i meant. I had a play around and couldn't get it to look better, maybe forget the comment.
I think he was referring more to the shape of the chin, rather than the rendering.
@sharprm
You've probably missed the fact that It's a 12-bit palette (i.e. 16 shades of R,G,B, a total of 4096 colors to chose from)....if you can find any way to make this smoother I would really like to know how! ;) ...if I understand your concern correctly?
Babeanoid has cool gui. This pic is great also, but I think pigs should have a smooth, fatty chin like porky pig. Just saying since the preview looks fantastic but actual pic less so, so those other parts may need tweaking.
@all: Thanx for the comments
@onek: Since this image is supposed to be just static I allow myself to make full use of all (32) colors, for gfx with 'a purpose' I usally respect transparancy.
@tomik: Not really a scener, mostly did gfx for my own Amiga-games (like BabeAnoid: hem.fyristorg.com/dawnbringer/screengrabs2.html). Usally like to work on small gfx like tiles and functional stuff for games and progs, rather than fullscreen 'art' like piggy here. All my gfx on the PC has been done through Amiga-emulators, since I couldn't find a singel half-decent pixelprog until I tried Grafx2. Not as good as the almighty Brilliance on the Amiga - but enough so to activate me a bit! I probably will upload some 'old' stuff...or rather improve/finish some WIP. But I also hope I will find time and inspiration to create something brand new.
pig of the month, clearly =) more please.
edit: seriously. i'd really like to see more of your pixels. hope, your pixeling flame has been reignited recently and you're not just uploading old stuff here and leave again like many others already did in the past. i wonder if you have been active in the amiga demoscene somehow, maybe running under another handle? your style indicates this, but 'dawnbringer'-pixels haven't really been on my radar yet.
Now, this is one nice pic to start with. Greeaat stuff!
WOW!
I love how it's smooth and sharp at the same time.
wow, amazing work, nothing to complain, except maybe u could make the bg transparent...
the cheeks rly remind me of those Chubba Chubbs lollipops somehow ^^ (...only pic i could find ... ;D)
Great
