Promotion counts 255 colors in total, for me...that's a lot. I'm not disputing that this isn't pixel art, as it is. Some of it is done fairly well. If anything, I would dispute that the optimization of this screen is poorly done. IE, it seems as if there is no unified palette in some of your tiles, which is causing the huge color issue.
The sprite, tree, and small objects seem to be done well, but the background is bringing this down a lot. If I do send this back, please know that it's not because we think it's "NPA".
It's because there is a bit of a quality issue, in color conservation. I'm not saying you HAVE to change it for your game; if anything, doing pixel work for professional purposes, is something in itself, and you're at the mercy of what your client wants, despite things being pixel kosher, or not.
All that we ask is to review some of your grass tiles, see if you can clear them up a bit, and try unifying your palette a bit better, with less colors, for a more readable background, for gallery purposes only.
Hope you don't take this the wrong way...love some of your sprites and animations...anyhow, good luck with the game...
I'm with perkele here, the piece has around 260 colours so I guess you must have used some filter or something. Other than that really good job, it looks really good :)
What if he used 255 colors for the look? Honestly, I just think he got carried away with the colors.
