u no this waz my first pixel art

iv been watching people do this on youtube and thought id give it a try

i really dont know how to do a graidiant since im onld in ms paint
 

the colors are too bright, saturated, try to choose ur colors wisely, dont put the character on the horizon line, cos that makes u loose any depth of ur picture... try using some selective outlining and u shouldnt use 50% dither on plain surfaces , like the eyeballs, cause it makes them look kind of grainy. also try to do a background or add some gradient to the sky to make ur piece more intresting ...
