I dont really agree with Brod here.
I really like the style of the proportions and especially the facial features (I'm a big fan of simplicity)
While I think the running loop is very unique and has a lot of personality and drive, I think you could improve a couple of frames (in one his head is really waaaay too offset to the right, looks unnatural) and maybe also add a few more frames to make it look smoother. While I can imagine this guy running exactly like this, he'd do it in a smoother, less choppy way IMHO.
Oh, and I am also kinda confused about those skintone pixels that are breaking your outline, to me they just add unnecessary noise to your, in any other respect, very sleek, clever and minimalized design.
His idle sprite seems like a totally different person compared to the running sprite. The idle one seems calm and collected, while the running one looks like he's being chased around by a zombie duck and he's covered in butter. (Don't ask, bad memories)
Hey, thanks for the comment. Yeah I've been meaning to fix this one up a bit, but I've lost sight of the project it was for so haven't bothered to revise it. I'd really like to add a couple of frames to it though because it is one of my favorite run sequences, but yeah it's kinda choppy.
Maybe one day :). I'll definitely consider your suggestions when I do, cheers
