Awesome concept, I just think you went a bit too crazy with the highlited outline parts. Still, 7/7 XD
here's what i did so far:
like it? :P
he's name is "Ahiru"
(ahiro=duck in japaneese)
(and no,im not japaneese)
(lol)
i've submitted a duck for the weekly challenge,
and he's that duck,i just maked him and boom!
a pokemon has been made! ><
he's a flying/water pokemon
he's kind of a flying duck,lol
p.s. look in my gallery for the big one! ><
So good to see a Pokemon sprite that *isn't* a cut & paste of two existing Pokemon put together.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
It's fun how my "to be approved" pixel piece is the one with the most activity so far! haha.
I think I'm gonna like this place.
In that case, you've done a hell of a job. You've got my vote.
I assure you every pixel is 100% custom made and scratched. Any pokemon sprites I put up here are. The CaP project's goal is to create new and unique pokemon and the sprite competitions only allow scratches.
I share your views on the travesties of the basic edits and recolors. :(
Here's the original Syclant sketch I made to prove my point. Most of my sprites are drawn beforehand in this manner, as I'm a very reference-reliant person.

So this is an original sprite?
Because most of the pokemon submissions we get are just edits / recolors / traces / rips / etc, which are against the rules.
I just want to point out that I don't know much about pokemon, but I'm pretty much used to seeing pokemon submissions being abominations against the rules. So I just want to apologize in advance if this is an original.
It's funny, I had this piece completed for over a year and a half and NEVER bothered to fix the outlines.
LAaaazy KoA. :(
It seems to be a bit jaggy - maybe you could make it a bit smoother? :x :)
Good job though! :)
I do agree with Nightmare Maker, you did go heavy on the outline, but my favorite pokemon is scyther and this does bear a resemblance to him... fav
