The AA on the dots of the outline of Che, is slightly darker. So from a distance it those dots appear a lot smaller.
Weird, I can't see it if I don't use both eyes.
This is wild.
This is really cool! I can see it if I look without my glasses :)
My eye's are killing me man! It's nice but I'm limited to staring at it for no longer than 3 seconds!
of course it is art!!
however if you say it is not, then you are not really a proper artist! sorry
Yeah, you can see it by scrolling the page up and down too. Great job!
Cool its in the gallery
Im working on another famous illusion, and im going to animate it too.
Thanks for comments I was hoping you'd like it.
O.o hmmm mmm hmm witchcraft indeed, I zoomed in but could not find a difference lol
its cool. You can also see the image easily if youre scrolling the page (its easier if you use the arrow keys to scoll).
That sounds reasonable and if the three layers are hand-pixelled then its cool with me.*
*Subject to others proving otherwise.
I made three layers, one dark dots, one light dots and a Che silhouette, which was pixelled, then I used that silhouette to get the outline of che so that I could then delete the light dots within th silhoute. I still had to plan it out and stuff, that way just seemed way quicker than pixeling every dot individually. I won't be offended if it can't make the cut into PJ, but its still an interesting piece to look at I thought. And maybe others might get inspired to do more illusions that trick they eye
There's no reductions or layering effets, I just deleted certain dots to reveal the darker dots, but up close its hard to see any difference. I also wanted to try pixeling a magic eye, but im not sure if ts possible.
Oh my o.O
Is it pixelled in true pixel art form. So cool bit quite confusing on the technical side as to wether it can be considered "PJ pixelart"...
...can you explain a bit further? Is the underlying Che a pixelart piece itself on which you played the second layer over? Is the Che a reduction?
I used the copy paste tool a lot
I was trying to work out how its actually done, as the album cover has lots of colours up close. And the technique involves two layers one with the darker rings on the dots and one with the lighters rings, then you get an outline of the image you want and simply erase that outline of the lighter dots to reveal the darker dots underneath. Really I just wanted to see if it worked as well on fewer colours whilst still maintaing the dot effect up close, and it does.
awesome. still, i can hardly imagine that you've done this by just placing bubbles / without any kind of tool..
Yeah squinting helps also. If you squint then shake your head it works well, but you will look like a weirdo.
^^ nice very irritating... when i look "throug" the screen i caneasily see it
Absolutely perfect job :D
