A small idea I came with, my first pixel work after the summer. It's a tortoise with a garden on its back. Took roughly 2-5 hours. One Reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Florida_Box_Turtle_Digon3_re-edited.jpg, another reference was that of a bonsai tree, but that was just to look at the general shape :)

Great concept, but definitely needs more work. Light, mostly, would give it the depth it lacks.

Filename is hortatoise.png.gif : the double extension might cause problems to some software.

All the work is good, but I don't like the light places on his back. It's just too smooth comparing with the rest of art.

thats actually texture rather than shading, there isn't really any lighting here ;)
