dusty: yeah that's actually a problem I always have with 8 dir characters. Really need to work on that. Think maybe the side view head could be turned away more...

Eh, I'll fix it next time I do something 8 directional. Kinda done with this one :P

I do have to say that such an animation and sprite with 8 directions looks odd in the face because the face on the left/right seem somewhat angled towards the viewer, and the jump from left/right to upper-left/right is pretty large, while turning to the bottom is minor.
