-Nod- Yeah, I might give colored lines a real try now, but as I sketched it, I just... couldn't find colored outlines that looked GOOD to me, lol. It's because I love inkwork; As I added colored outlines to the hair, something screamed "NEEDS MORE BLACK!" which is also generally a pixel no-no!
For the game mock-up I'm making this style for, I had 2 initial ideas "Larger sprites in greyscale" or "small, with limited color! palettes." I think I ended up at an inbetween...

Anyway man, these look pretty cool (I remember Nadia and "Hero Girl" btw x3) but all the dark outlines make them a bit messy. Neo Geo seems to have used a lot of black outlines, but the sprites also less detailed, so there were less lines crisscrossing the body. For these I'd suggest adding color to the outlines so they can still be there, but not as dark and bold as they are now.
But other than that, lookin good
