Thanks for your comments! =D
The horizon thing really helped, wouldn't have thought of it that way!
I tweaked the rest a bit, but I still think something is missing... :|
nice! reminds me webkinz style, lol,if you want some tips:
-make the outlines in a darker color, and try to use the lowest number of colors on your next pics, good luck ;D
Not bad for a start!
I see a few problems.
Your greens are too saturated, too greenish (grass and leaves tend to be yellower greens), and 2 of them are so close you almost can't see them.
Other colors lack a lot of contrast (typical beginner's mistake, nothing wrong with that!): in the fence, the cloud and sky.
Think lighting: the fence has flat outlines, when it was easy to give it depth and light by outlining one side dark, on side light.
Clouds are not random, they usually have rather flatter and darker undersides, shading gives them volume.
Last, your perspective is wrong: the horizon is low, meaning you're watching from ground level, but the gate is seen from above. You have to choose one! You also have room enough to have something happen on the horizon.
I made this quick edit to emphasize these points, look at the differences.
Looking forward to see your updates! ;)
