I think I get what you mean. I think part of the problem was the color background I was working on wasn't good for what I was doing. It does look a lot different on here.
Amazingly Awesome, The inner shading is truly perfect ^^
nice work, but I found 2 bad things.
1: the hat shading is a bit weird, it is looking solid as a stone.
2: Some AA in the borders should help
