The hair is really good :D and........ PANCAKES!!
Agree with Dawnbringer. You have very similar yet different colors, esp in the skin tones; and mostly, the problem comes from the pancakes: 21 colors alone.
Actually the pancakes are rather well done and realistic, but this precisely takes the attention away... Try to make them much more simple, 3-4 colors.
The body and clothes are very well drawn and shaded! (except for similar colors again), the face and hair are not so convincing.
Very encouraging for a first piece anyway! ;)
Hi & welcome! 57 colors is a bit steep for a picture like this, but not uncommon for true-color artist simply color-reducing their works into 'pixelart' 
. If you are serious about pixelart I recommend that you find a paintprogram that supports (or even better - is based on) indexed palettes (or find out how to use them if your preferred software includes it). Palette design & usage is a big part of pixelart and the fewer colors you use for a given result - the more impressive it is. Anyways, the picture is nice and I hope my comment didn't scare you off!
