Why not submit to the challenge? It fits all the restrictions and it's a nice piece too, could use a bit of improvement though, as Manupix has pointed out. But overall it's looking good; reminds me of stuff by FrankieSmileShow.

Let me know if you change your mind about the challenge k.

The eyes could have more volume, I'd suggest using some purple there.

The rays could easily improve: make all lines converge to a vanishing point, try to avoid lines other than 1x2, 1x3, etc which look jaggy (you probably won't be able to avoid them completely though).

A few stray pixels to clean.
