A few points: the second row of trees may not need outlines, but could use some roots; the last row of tree tops doesn't need outline.

The ground level might look darker: we're in a dense forest.

The chars look sort of inverted: the main one looks nasty, the enemy looks cute. Their colors enhance this.

It's nice. I would just criticize the trees, the intervals are to rythmic.
