It's a technique often used when pixelling explosions, like that moment of surprise and blinding as it happens
its almost not visible becouse of the background but there's also a white circle
i just made it cos i saw metal slug explosions hadthe same thing at the begining and it looked good, maybe i just used it wrong xD
Everything is great, except for the one frame of a big black circle. What is the logic behind it's existence? If it is real, it needs to be an expanding shock wave in each following frame.

Nice explosion! I'm not very good at that too, it's quite difficult to create a realistic "ka-boooom!!!", but yours is quite well :-)
pretty sweet. I think it needs another lighter color in it.
The animation was good, as was the vertical at the end (though it seems out of place). I recommend dithering on the spheres though. Good job ;)
The upwards-streaking-ball seems kinda out of place imo
