Found some old concept art for a detective game I started a long time ago, but haven't completed yet. Its on the backburner, so I thought I'd share :)

Forgive the black background...

I think there are about 23 colours, which is quite a lot. I did this long before I found pixeljoint!

Yeah, the lamp post is really cool^^

 

I think you should improve the use of the gray tone (the street shadows for example)
