I like the entries best that thought outside the box, this one included. I love how well his grumpy, "no one loves me" expression matches the theme of the picture... it was a good thought on your part. :D

Hehe I dunno I guess I just kinda like he irony and thought it looked cute. I did try to add a bit of shading. but I guess that was before I added in the extra reds for the cloth, so I'll try it out ;)

Great interpretation of the lines; but why have such a flat, symbolic heart? I think you could try doing something more exciting; have a look at these three images. They all retain their symbolic nature but still deviate from the flat, single colour, front-on style heart which doesn't seem appropriate for this kind of image.
