I used to have walking and running, they work quite well.
It's ok, you're new, you learned. No biggie. 
Looks good by the way. 
Make sure you provide any and all references. PJ has pretty tight rules about 100% original submission.
Many are from scratch but some I use a reference pic, drawing or even other sprite.
You made all of this yourself, right? No edits, no traces, etc...
